Apparel Designer

To strengthen our Apparel Design team, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Apparel Designer with a strong background in technical apparel. You will lead the creation of innovative collections from concept to execution, working closely with Product Management, Development, Sourcing, and Marketing to bring inspiring products to life. You are a strong creative thinker with excellent technical knowledge and a deep understanding of performance apparel, materials, fit, and construction.
This role reports to the Head of Apparel Design and works within a team of 5 designers, collaborating closely with Product Management across our Bike, Ski, Run, and Mountain/Outdoor categories.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
· Create the design and creative direction of seasonal apparel collections with the team, delivering 2 seasonal collections per year
· Create compelling product stories, color concepts, graphic design and design languages
· Collaborate closely with Product Management and Development throughout the product lifecycle
· Build detailed design specifications and technical sketches and manage data on Centric PLM
· Support the Development Team during fittings, take comments, and update technical sketches
· Drive consistency across collections while maintaining a strong SCOTT brand identity
· Use CLO 3D to create and review virtual apparel designs, improve fit accuracy, and support faster design decisions
· Contribute to smarter, more consistent, and more digital design processes, including virtual product design where relevant
Requirements:
· 3+ years of experience in apparel design, preferably within premium cycling, sports, or outdoor brands
· Strong portfolio demonstrating innovative product and collection development
· Excellent understanding of garment construction, fit, materials, and manufacturing processes
· Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; working proficiency in CLO 3D required, advanced CLO 3D skills a plus
· Working knowledge of PLM systems (Centric PLM experience preferred)
· Experience managing complete collection cycles from concept to market launch
· Comfortable working across time zones and cultures with cross-functional HQ teams spanning multiple sport categories
· Fluency in English; French or German is a plus
· A genuine interest in sport and products made for movement
