Mission

In this position you are responsible for defining and executing the company’s IT strategy to support growth across B2B and Direct‑to‑Consumer (D2C) channels. The role ensures reliable, secure, and scalable technology platforms covering ERP (SAP), Business Intelligence & Analytics, e‑commerce and web platforms, cybersecurity, and network infrastructure, while enabling data‑driven decision‑making and operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

IT Strategy & Leadership

  • Review, define and implement a company‑wide IT strategy aligned with business objectives and omnichannel growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary IT teams (internal and external partners) both locally and overseas.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive management on technology, digital transformation, and innovation.
  • Define IT governance, standards, and policies to ensure consistency and scalability.

 

Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Oversee Business Intelligence and Analytics platforms to enable insight‑driven decision‑making.
  • Ensure high‑quality data availability for sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations.
  • Promote data governance, data quality, and self‑service analytics across the organization.

 

ERP & SAP Development

  • Own and operate the SAP landscape (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC, BW, or related modules) supporting finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and sales.
  • Manage SAP development, enhancements, system integrations, and upgrades.
  • Ensure alignment between business processes and ERP best practices.

 

Web Development & Digital Platforms

  • Provide technical and development support to web UX/UI team in support of D2C and B2B e‑commerce platforms, especially as concerns CDP, CDC, Emarsys, and CRM integration to SAP ERP
  • Ensure seamless integration between web platforms, ERP, CRM, and analytics systems.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, availability, and user experience across digital channels.

 

Security & Risk Management

  • Define and enforce IT security strategy covering applications, infrastructure, networks, and data.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, internal security policies).
  • Manage cybersecurity risks, incident response, and disaster recovery planning.

 

Infrastructure & Network Engineering

  • Oversee network architecture, cloud platforms, on‑premise systems, and end‑user environments.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and cost‑effective IT operations globally.
  • Manage vendors, outsourcing partners, and service‑level agreements.

 

Financial & Operational Management

  • Own and control the IT budget, cost optimization initiatives, and investment planning.
  • Prioritize and manage the IT project portfolio to deliver value on time and within budget.
  • Measure and report IT performance using KPIs and service metrics.

 

 

Requirements

 

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or comparable qualification.
  • Extensive leadership experience in IT roles within consumer goods, retail, or sporting goods environments.
  • Strong background in SAP ERP, enterprise architecture, and system integration.
  • Proven experience supporting D2C e‑commerce platforms and digital ecosystems.
  • Solid understanding of Business Intelligence, analytics, and data platforms.

 

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IT architecture, infrastructure, and security principles.
  • Experience managing complex IT landscapes with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
  • Strong project and change management capabilities.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing IT budgets.
